IPA (India Pale Ale). Leuchtende orange-goldene Farbe, feinporiger Schaum.

Smell of orange peel, straw. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, finishes with grainy notes. Bitter, finishes faintly sweet. Light body, somewhat watery palate. Surprisingly light considering the ABV.

Keg at Hopfenriech, Berlin, 22nd April 15. Aroma fine, taste is sweetish, some hops, palate is medium. It needs more bitterness. It’s ok

330 ml bottle. Pale golden body with a huge, creamy off-white head. Mild fruity aroma, mostly citric and some malt. Flavor is sweet malt, fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Not much of an IPA, but besides that its decent and quite refreshing. No complexity but well made.

Bottle by a friend. Aroma fruity hoppy, but also caramel malty, rather balanced. Clear golden colour. Taste fruity hoppy, light zesty. Moderate bitterness. Good, but could be overall more intense.

Bottle split at Mother Arch during my 40th bash, thanks to me Wingman - Dave, 11/10/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is caramel malt, light pine, spice, dark fruit, trace of diacetyl, straw. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, bready notes, astringent bitterness. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So very so, like a mediocre ramped up golden blonde.

Bottle shared in London for Colin’s bonanza. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. The nose has some lightly oxidised pale bread, citrus jam. Medium sweet flavor with bitter hay, marmalade, some grass, dry white bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and somewhat astringent on the finish, more bitter grass, oxidised mals, dry bread, rind. Poor.

Bottle share for Colin’s 40th. Thanks to big dave. Aroma is stale grainy, cardboard, orange peel, stale. Flavour is orange, grainy cereal, tangy fruit. Clear light golden coloured pour no head. Palate is crisp, moderate carbonation. Lingering grass and orange. Double IPA? Wtf?

Bottle thanks to Dave. It pours clear golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is bready, toasty cereal, grainy and light sweetness. The taste is biscuit, light bitterness, toasty grain, cereal, stone fruits, touch of spice and touch of honey with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nothing much double IPA about it. Basic, but ok.
