This March we dove into our recipe notebooks looking for ideas to inspire the ultimate session-able stout recipe. Here is Ostara Stout our take on the concept of 'Dublin Stout'. Brewed to be complex but quaffable. We took some of our imperial stout tricks and adapted them to a lower ABV base recipe. The result has layered malts with some lovely soft chocolate notes finished with a nice hop zing to help clean the palate. Sláinte

On tap @ Mikkeller bar CPH airport. Dark brown body under a beige head. Promising aroma and taste with typical dry stout qualities, but unfortunately there is a certain sourness that I assume is not intended. Might be a bit off.

Nitro tap at Ammutsøn. Black, brown thick cream. Medium body, very creamy. Lively dry chocolate notes, enough sweetness, dry grain roast without harshness. Lovely, super drinkable and very enjoyable.

Tap as nitro at Ammutsøn. Dark, cappuccino head. Coffee chocolate and cream, coconut vanilla, but not the artificial one. Soft fluffy and light, chocolate mouse. Nitro is the best. Nitroooo!

Nitro tap at The Beer Temple, Dublin. Roasted malts, coffee, ashy notes and dark chocolate on the surface with a sweeter, caramel-y base behind it. Easy to drink, smooth, full for what it is.
