Hazy orange colour, beige foam. Disappears quickly. Very fruity nose, lots of peach flavour, sweet and juicy. Taste is fruity, tart, lemony with barnyard notes. Very nice lambic.

Fruit lambic with ‘red vineyard’ peaches (Weinberg), a variety known for its red flesh and less sweet taste than most other peach varieties, hence its popularity in the German-speaking world as a source of a Kirsch-like liqueur. Bottle shared by David Rogiers at Lambik-o-Droom, cheers! Wafer-thin, snow white, open and eventually dissolving ring of foam, cloudy orange-hued peach blonde robe. Aroma of peach jam (more peach sweetness than expected), ripe apricot, sour grape, white port, apple peel, old wood, cider vinegar, raspberry juice, soggy biscuits somewhere, hard green pear. Sour onset, lemony with green apple and green gooseberry effects, but the acidity is softened by a lovely sweet peach effect – again, sweeter than expected; medium carb, vinous body with this fruit acidity lingering round a soft-bready core further dried and ‘deepened’ by lactic tartness and drying woodiness. Still that peach fructose keeps mitigating everything a bit, without interfering with the lambic’s natural flavours too much; apple- and pear-like aspects linger along woodiness and, again, lots of peach in a long, quenching, elegant finish. Peach-flavoured lambics have entered the beer world decades ago – think of Lindemans’s Pêcheresse, launched in 1987 – in a sugared and pasteurized, ‘compromised’ form, ‘pêche’ being a modern invention in that sense, but in those days I guess nobody could expect ‘real’ peach lambic to be this great; as much as I hate ‘industrial’ pêche à la Pêcheresse, the peach lambics following traditional methods with real fruit and no sugar have conquered my heart on more than one occasion. 3 Fonteinen especially excels in it so I will never let a chance to taste a 3 Fonteinen peach lambic pass by. Stunning!

Bottle shared at tasting. Orangy pinkish color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are lovely fruity and loads of peaches. I love this one. This is great, very balanced.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy bright orange with a large white head. Nose explodes with intense juicy peaches, moderate funk, gentle acidity, and leather -- damn that's invigorating. Flavour is incredibly juicy and vibrant, with moderately sour but maximally juicy peaches upfront, followed by signature 3F barnyard funk further back, leaving moderate acidity on the finish. Maybe the most intense peach lambic I've had. Wonderfully done.

Very good off-white head, fast disappearing over reddish-orange beer, lightly carbonated, veiled. Very fine fruity nose, both citrus and stonefruit, blood orange and musk, farmyard. Quite - really - sour, citrus (lemon and other). Finish is lemon - not much 'funk' nor lactic. After short time, almost no carbonation left in the end. Acidburn and -thinning, bit fruitslick. Nice - of course - and first impression is just great, however, it gets raw further, quite severe.
