Many kilo's of blackcurrants married with mead and aged for 10 months in a red wine barrel.
It's also one of the best songs of our good friends from the band Mooneye

10cl bottle pour @ De Mederie. Clear deep purple appearance. Rich stewed dark fruits on the nose, continuing to taste a touch syrupy, sticky with light honey drifting through.. bags of flavour overall.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 20/10/24. Big blackcurrant / claret colour with little in the way of a head. Nose is sweet berry pulp, booze, herb, blackcurrant jam, subtle honey. Taste comprises blackcurrant jam, red berry compote, sugars, honey drizzle, warming alcohol. Full bodied, oily feel, balanced rising booze at the curtain call. Decent enough Mead if a touch 1D.

Pours an intensely dark, yet clear, red. Scent is intense, syrupy even, on the barrels. Very mild honey base, providing some depth. Taste is mildly tart due to the berries, providing some tannins as well, dryness towards the end - over a medium dry (seemingly) meadbase - which is a bit overpowered by the berries. Barrel profile is mild, hidden even. Very intense, fruit favored melomel.
