Big Fat 13 is both a celebration and a walk down memory lane. Back in the Early Days of Uiltje we brewed a very audacious American IPA for Amsterdam Craft Beer Champion BeerTemple. We Called it Big Fat 5. Now that BeerTemple is turning 13, we're honoring their trust in the young us with its own Big Fat 13. At 10,13%, this imperial IPA is serious sh*t. This is one church mass you don't want to miss.

Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Pours slightly hazy dark straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery notes and hoppy touches. Bitter flavour of hops and grass, with touches of fruit and notes of malt and yeast. Bitter and malty aftertaste with fruity touches. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one.

Keg at Beer Temple. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Nice fruity hoppy nose. Palate is light and semi dry and has a good fine minerally crispness. Light malts deliver a very light creamy sweetness. The hops are mildly spicy with good crisp pine and reasonably bright citrus well blended with lesser citrus peel. A light crisp semi dry finish. Just a nicely assembled tipa which drinks very easy.

Tap at Arendsnest, 14th September 2022. Pours clear and golden. Aroma is pith and bitter citrus, honey. Taste is bitter, pine and pithy citrus fruit, this Is well made, as it’s never too sweet and the bitterness is spot on, not easy in an IPA over 10 percent
