When the Hop Lords of Whiplash graced us with a visit, we were keen to learn as much as possible on the mighty dipa. This heady fruit basket of a beer has great mouthfeel and a hidden 8% strength. We added El Dorado hops in early in the mash, the dry hopped with Citra Cryo, Mosaic Cryo and Vic Secret. Named after the devil makes 3 blue grass song Do Wrong Right "The road don't go forever, so ride it while it lasts".

Draught Arbitrary 4/5 for appearance, due to insufficient lighting. Bit stuffy, almost dusty, old grains' nose. Other grains, flour from non-grain kernels. Herbal-bitterish-spicy, in a very unusual coalescence. Bit pharmaceutical too, however, sparadrap. Medium bodied at best, bit light for 8%. Quite slick, good carbonation. In the end, the sparadrap (band aid) starts to get irritating. Pity, as it started well.

On tap at Bundobust, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, piney hops, some earthiness, and bready malt. Flavour is dank and assertive, with intense piney, dank hops, plenty of resins, earthiness, and bready malt. Dank, piney and light resins, almost bordering on too harsh but I enjoy this. Good.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly smooth on the front end, reasonable fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. The hops are nicely judged. Ubiquitous Citra delivers it's stuff with rich orange and a touch of marmalade. Mosaic, as so often these days, is identifiable by the candy fruits vibe and yes a little smooth blueberry here. Vic Secret bringing up the back end with slightly pineappley tropical fruits. Back end is smooth pine contrasting with a pinch of hop spice. Nicely done, the whole can just evaporated whilst rating and that is always a good sign.
