Cask @ Leeds Station Wetherspoon, Leeds. Amber with a creamy head. Has a hoppy-sweet aroma and taste with strength a factor in this.

Third of a pint in the Crosse Keys, City of London on 27th October 2021. Amber body, white head. Decent enough, fruity and slightly citrussy, good malty backbone too.

Cask @ JDW Montgomery's Tower. Amber pour. Has a nice alluring pineapple sweetness coursing through, a touch creamy even. Quite nice.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A cloudy amber pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a dry black currant taste, some biscuity malt and hedgerow bitterness.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a slightly hazy bright copper with a small foamy white head and good lacing. There’s a vague aroma of pineapple and tropical fruits, but nothing much. In the mouth there’s an initial dry hoppiness which is quite offputting. Flavours start off with tropical fruits (mango, guava) then progress into nuts and pumpkin. Finish is very dry. Not for me !

500ml Bottle - Amber with a slight haze and a foamy head. Peach, apricot and a hint of spice in the aroma. Fruity and moderately hoppy taste with peach, apricot and a faint hint of grapefruit.

500ml Bottle: BBD 28 Nov 14, poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 7 Jan 14. Lively pour, plenty of carbonation bubbles rise through the clear amber body to help replenish the smooth white foam head. The nose is a mixture of spicy hops with a citrus twist, as is the initial taste. As the beer warms a little it becomes a bit more complex and the malts that were hidden start to assert themselves: the bread/biscuit notes however subside again towards the end of each sip when the hops take over once more. Refreshing and interesting play on an American IPA (not as hoppy as most US IPA’s I have to say).

Bottle from Sainsburys. Deep gold with a slight white head. A touch of citrus fruits, sweet cereal malts, and a big, bitter finish. Ok.
