Mørk brun med beige boblete som daler sakte. Aroma; kakebunn, ingefær, malt, karamell, svisker. Smak; malt, karamell, ingefær, svisker, cokkie, sjokolade, vanilje, kanel, hint av lakrisbåter. Sirup i ettersmak. Myk munnfølelse, balansert, lang ettersmak.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 8.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Small beige head. Sweetish aroma of ginger, malts, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, gingerbread and other cookies. The flavour is moderately sweet (not as sweet as I feared), well balanced, with the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops. Enjoyable.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Ruby-brownish body, frothy beige head, rich lacing. Aromas of dried fruits and subdued ginger. Dried fruity flavours, including figs and raisin, joined by liquorice and integrated ginger. Rather sweet malt-fruity, long tail, slightly roasted. Pretty good. (Hotel room, Oslo 18.04.2023).

Drukket i solveggen på Vervet. Ultramørk amber/svart. Lavt skum med litt farge. Klaselacing. Aroma av ingefærnøtter. Smaken det samme. Litt karamell i avslutninga. Grei - men lite variert.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 29.08.2023) im 2022-12 getrunken. Diese dunkelbraune Ale kommt mit einer kräftigen Malznote, einer feine Kräuternote und mit einer leichten Süße Süße daher. Für ein Quardruple wird es recht leicht, aber sehr gut balanciert.

Borefts XII. Day 1. Clear deep reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Thinnish palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Very obvious gingerbread cake. Liquidised form! Sweet ginger, not hot ginger. Fairly dry finish shows a little lacto sweetness. Nice.
