This super limited edition of Hagger went through our classic, very strictly monitored phase of barrel ageing. When it was ready, we blended it and took it for another round of barrel ageing in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, thus building even stronger barrel flavours and complexity. A world class brew.

Op tap bij Borefts '22. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Veel vanille en bourbon in de geur, hout, rozijntjes, donker fruit, hint van chocolade, zoet en vol, meer bourbon. Volle body, stroperig. Heerlijk.

Tap. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is wood, almost chocolate, mild raisins, not too sweet. Taste is wood, nutty, bitter marmalade, very nice depth and complexity. Lovely, great balance despite the intensity, one of the best Barleywines for me.

Clear dark brown to red brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: nice, lots of caramel, a bit oxidized, fruity, dried fruits, vanilla, some caramel, orange peel, a bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: oxidized, lots of whisky, caramel, vanilla, some chocolate, dried fruits, juicy, bitter, a bit sourish. Aftertaste: hoppy touch, caramel, bitter notes, chocolate, pretty bitter, dry, lots of alcohol, oxidized, a bit fruity, decent one!

On tap at Borefts. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate foamy head. Aromas of raisins, oaky whisky, and rye. Flavors of green oak, scotch, dry caramel and bready malts. Warm sticky finish. Quite nice.

23/9/22: More Hagger! And this is DBA, whereas the others are.. multiple BA? I dunno. Anyhow, it's another Hagger, woo! Quite a heavy beast, rich, boozy, warming and wintery. Real complex mixture of flavours, between raisiny bw and barrels.
