Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 06/2012)
Deep amber color, good off-white head. Aroma of leather, sweet maltyness, grains and light grassy hops. Medium to full bodied. Starts quite sweet malty but then in the finish some toasted notes too. Low bitterness, some grainy notes and alcohol. Somewhat smooth palate. Not too bad. This is something between helles and dunkler bock.

Bottle(purchased at the brasserie): Clear, light amber coloured, small, quickly vanishing foamy layer, delicate sweet-malty and caramelly nose with a touch of vegetables; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; faint caramelly traces in the sweet-bitter-metallic finish. Unharmonic, disappointing............

(bottle) Clear, amber coloured with a medium-sized, light-beige foamy head. Sweet, nutty and toast-malty nose with caramel and a noticeable alcoholic touch. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toast-malty, nutty taste with caramel and light burnt sugar notes; sweet and moderately toasted malty finish with a present but not too disturbing alcoholic touch. Decent and warming Bock.
