Cask at George, Croydon. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is earthy, roast, umami, dark fruit cherry and coffee. The taste is smooth, toasty, treacle, cocoa, coffee, cherry and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Well rounded and rather nice cherry thing going on. Decent.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Deep cherry red, almost black, in colour with a ringe of beige head; drinking chocolate aroma; grainy body with a complex taste: - smooth chocoalte and coffee, but also blackcurrant and cherry; and a dry, satisfying finish with lingering fruit. An excellent mild.

Cask @ Mason’s Arms, Todmorden. Very dark with an off-white creamy head. Has less aroma than its limited edition stronger version but a more milky smooth palatable texture. Includes light roasted malts.
