(Draught at Dynamo Bar de Soif, Brussels, 20 Oct 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, cereal, grass and herbal hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, cereal, grass, hay and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced märzen. Nice one.

440ml can from webshop. Canned 10/2023. Poured clear and golden in color. Malty sweetness, light hops and more sweetness, notes of hay. Good drinkability.

Clear amber orange beer, big solid creamy irregular off-white head, a little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very herbal, spicy, lots of cloves, some star anise, a bit funky, caramel malts, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy, a bit herbal, very spicy, sourish touch, some grains, a bit malty. Aftertaste: a bit sourish, very spicy, lots of cloves, star anise, a bit sweet, caramel malts, bitter touch, good! Is it really a Reinheitsgebot beer, without spices?

Fuerst Wiacek Festbier, 44-cl-Dose vom Flaschbierschop im Prenzlberg. - Orangegold, klar; schöner weißer Schaum. - In der Nase nur ein wenig fülligeres helles Malz, fein getreidig mit zarten Anklängen an Zwieback und Vanille, und dezente aber gute zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk füllig aber straff getreidig-hellmalzig mit gediegener Vanillesüße, die durch sehr schöne Hopfung mit süßer Orangenschale und feinen herbalen Zügen ausbalanciert wird. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang Orangeat und feine herbale Hopfenherbe. - Außergewöhnlich schönes Festbier mit gediegener Malzigkeit und intensiver aber runder Hopfung. Ein echtes Meisterwerk.
