Cloudy yellow appearance with no head. Aroma and flavour are funky and quite sour. Some floral notes. Decent body. Nice dry finish.

Bottle from Etre. Unclear yellow with a brief, white head. Slightly tart with dried stonefruit, herbal grains, grassy. Soft carbonation and light acidity. Nice one!

Limited rye saison produced in collaboration of Nevel with Oersoep, two of Holland’s ultra-modern and interesting craft breweries. At Foeders in Amsterdam, thanks Goedele for sharing. Lacing, opening, off-white head on a misty straw blonde beer with greenish tinge. Aroma of white grapes, rhubarb, dried mango flesh, pear, yellow kiwi, kumquat, sourdough, white bread crumbs. Estery, fruity onset, notes of kiwi and ripe gooseberry, sweetish with more pronounced, white grape- and even rhubarb-like sourness; supple, ‘moelleux’ mouthfeel with finely but lively sparkling carbonation. Bready middle with dim rye spicy touch, soft and fluffy but dried by this fruity tartness, a bit white wine-like in the end, juicy and mildly tart with a late hop bitterish touch. A sourish ‘saison’ in the new Anglo-Saxon tradition of postmodern farmhouse ales – but a good one at that, very elegant and highly drinkable.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2018. Milky citrus. Nose is wonderful elderflower, funk, barrel, rustic funk, lemon, almost faint lemony lambiek. Smell beats taste which is a bit more muted, still nice hay, white wine vinous, acidic wine, funk, spectacular smell & really good taste. Acidic lively lemon body.

Slightly hazy pale yellow beer, no head. Aroma: very malty, lots of grains, bit grassy, smells a bit like an African lager, but in a good way. :p MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty fruity, sourish, little funky, acidic, spicy notes. Aftertaste: very fruity, some tannins, bit lemony, spicy, lime juice, nice one!
