Bottle (from bierzwerg.de). Deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is nutty, dark dry fruity notes, some sweet malts as well as mild toasted notes. Flavour is mild roasted malt, toffee, some nuttyness as well as mild fruity and sugary notes as well. Strong sweet malty finish. Pleasantly balanced and a very harmonious beer.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly milky and chocolatey malty aroma with a tinge of herbal hops in the background. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Slightly toasty malty taste with notes of chocolate and mildly herbal accents towards the bitter-sweet finish. A pleasant but not world-shaking Dunkel. 18.XII.10
