Small cream rim over brown-black beer. Coffee, hazelnuts, oats, roasted grains, Ovomaltine, Maillard... Less sweet in the flavour than the nose suggested. Bit of cigarette ashes, coffee, and again rather nutty. Mild sweetness, bit of liquorice. Feels better bodied than it probably is. Good carbonation. Quite OK. But I would never call this a "stout" - brown ale, yes. Txs to Joren for bringing!

ABV and name on ratebeer is not entirely correct. This one, 50cl bought 2020 bbf 2021 is 5.5% and the bottle says skovlyst production label says nældebryg havre stout pours very dark brwon, with a light brown small head that soon disappears. mild aroma mostly caramel also a little bit of roasted malts and perhaps a little bit of coffee. flavor is licorice, mild dark caramel, mild coffee, mild roasted malts. carbonation and mouthfeel is lively the bitterness is well balanced to the rest of the beer, which, unfortunately is quite a bit watery and boring compared to more heavy stouts. Nevertheless, the beer resembles other skovlyst so i guess people who wants fairly uninteresting beer will find this one pretty spot on. reminds me more of a bock than a stout

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, very light brown head. Taste: Roasted malt and clear present notes of licorice, rye and oats, which make this a different stout than most other stouts. That being said, personally I prefer the taste of the other stouts, although this is an interesting beer and I’m glad that I’ve tasted it.
