Nice citrus aroma mixed in with some nice yeasty notes, with a good dose of hops. FLavor is much the same, big notes of belgian yeast, citrus, and some american hops. Interesting take on the style, but not my favorite.

Bottle. Golden color. Grass, vanilla and melon in the aroma. Hints of peach. Alcoholic but fairly well hopped flavor. Grassy, with vanilla and some citrus notes. Hints of white pepper in the aftertaste.

(Bottle) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange peel, marzipan, mandarin, honey, spicy hops and a whiff of alcohol. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, marzipan, orange, mandarin, dried apricots, tropical fruit, honey and a balanced spicy bitterness in a finish with a slight alcohol glow. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made tripel. Nice one.

Bomber. Picked up at Beermoth, Manchester, about two years ago. Gold, with a little haze. Some baby floaters. Ring and film of white head. Nose has barley sugar sweets. Dried peach and nectarine. Not unlike a peach crumble, really. Hints of biscuit malts, and light, autumnal spice. Taste is sweet, fruity and phenolic. Some spice. Some light bitterness. Full mouthfeel, but not to the tune of 9.7%. Sweet, spicy finish. Hint of fruity bitterness. Nicely refined tripel.

66cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Aged specimen. Hazy golden orange colour, creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, cookie dough, warm apple sauce, spicy yeast, some citrus, alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, apple sauce, yeast, light spicy, citrus, alcohol, fruity, bitter finish. Full bodied. Classic tripel imho, well done. Not overly sweet like so many American attempts to classic Belgian styles.
