Gyle No. 492. This Small Pale Ale is brewed to be refreshing and low in strength, yet full bodied and boldly flavoured with Citra and Chinook hops. We altered our water profile and mashed at a higher temperature for a smoother finish and juicy mouthfeel. 2.9%

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Dirty gold, with a medium haze. Suds of grey white head. Not especially a looker. Nose has peachy hop. Orange cordial. Soft, leafy herb. Light malts. Taste is fairly sweet, with a light, peach stone bitterness. Light body. Soft fizz. A tad drying. Light bitterness to finish.

Can. Golden pour. Aroma of citrus, biscuity malt, vegetal hop and orange. Taste of biscuity malt, citrus, orange, grapefruit and a hoppy bitter finish. Nice.

Can at home, thanks to Fergoose for the pick up, 09/09/18. Lightly hazed orange golden with a decent off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is grassy, bitter orange, straw, pine, tropical fruit esters, orange wine gums. Taste comprises orange pith, toasted grains, melon, weedy, pine, bitter tropical fruits. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Solid for the ABV.

On draft at source. Pours dark orange gold with only thin lacing around the glass. Aroma is orange and grapefruit, a little grass and dank. Taste is a light, refreshing orange and tropical fruit squash with just enough hop bitterness and the end and a faint pepper just taking the sweetness away. Nice session chugged.
