Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Barrel notes upfront with bourbon, vanilla, oak, caramel, malt, toffee, some dried fruits, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet, mild bitter, a little sharpness in the finish. Medium body. Good, strong bourbon, not really a Porter.

29/II/24 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: X/2025 (2024-133)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, milk chocolate, dried fruits, banana peel, some alcohol, malty, hint of vanilla, spices. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty roasted start, malty, dry, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, more chocolate. Aftertaste: nice roast, chocolate, malty, some alcohol, a little oxidized, bitter, some banana, spices, some bourbon, cloves. Decent stuff!

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en noten. De smaak is vol, noten en chocolade.

33cl Fles. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Zachte, zoete bourbon, eik, vanille, chocolade, helaas toch ook hier weer de gevreesde groene appels maar gelukkig niet al te storend aanwezig, gebrande mout, bitterzoet. Medium tot volle body.

Sample at Van Moll, from bottle. Brown color, small head. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, bourbon, light coffee notes, pleasant bitterness in the finish. Original review text: Draught at Van Moll Brewpub. Brown to black colored beer, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, heavily BA, oddly fruity. Flavor however is way less explicitly BA imo, don't really get so much tbh, malts, brownish malts, sweet at first, bitter-ish in the finish. A bit thin texture. Hmm not their best imo.
