Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, alcohol, some wood and a bit nectar. Flavour is caramel malts, alcohol, nectar and some sweet wooden notes. Well, rather sweet for anything, but a doppelbock would be the closest... (so I changed dunkler bock into doppelbock, notify and blame me if I’m wrong...)

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep amber coloured, smaller off-white foamy layer; molasses, dark dried fruit and a touch of port in the nose; robust sweet bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; mainly molasses and dark fruit in the sweet finish, some bitterness, that keeps it well balanced, detectable in the very end. Not the worst Bock........

Bottle, 8%. Sour aroma. Clear brown colour. Stable brown head. The flavour is quite malty, some alcohol and a rough sourness. Good mouthfeel.

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, brown body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Sweet fruity aroma, but not totally in balance. Hoppy flaovur with some maltiness. Not very interesting.

(swing top bottle) Clear mahogany colour with a medium-sized, persistent foamy beige head. Sweet, dark-malty aroma, roasted with caramel and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied (!) with a smooth carbonation. Strong malty taste, moderately roasted with caramel; sweet and slightly bitter malty finish with dried fruits in the aftertaste and a well-balanced alcohol, which is slightly warming. Decent strong beer.

A pale brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with lots of caramel, while the flavor is sweet too, but with a little more discrete caramel note.
