Taste: Bright acidity reminiscent of juicy homemade cider washes over the tongue, as the beer opens up to notes of jammy cherries, ripe dark stone fruits and a pillowy malt character, before giving away to sweet baking spices, toasted almonds, a lingering drying finish and a mineral edge, which round everything up.

Draft at the source. Ruby red, no head. Tart cherry, vinous, funk, wood notes.

Can shared at 100 piv. Quite dry, med-high carbonation. Lots of cherry character throughout, really intense and also really natural fermented-out character. Subtle caramelly maltiness beneath. Med-high sourness, light tartness, cherry skins too, slightly tanninish. Light sweetness, background salt. Very good.

33cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark red, with fine pink foam. Aroma is of cherries, a hint of vinegar, barrel ageing. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is rather sour, even a bit acetic, with some sweetness behind. Final is average.

Can. Almost clear cherry red beer, small pinkish head. Soft palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft cherries, slightly pukey tasting with a touch of salt. Light finish. Yikes! After the intensity of the Duckpond/Poppels Gose, this comes over as a weak acid reflux of a weak cherry beer. The worst beer I can recall from this normally stellar brewery.

Can shared with Veceo. Murky purple body, pinkish white head. Oxidized maltiness and cherry aroma, lean, sour, yeasty and veggie notes. Seems old, and it's only 3 months old. Flawed aroma. The taste isn't much better. Lean, some cherry, dry, sour notes, yeasty notes, not even that salty, just sour. Definitely a flawed batch, and the cherry profile didn't entice me much. Expected far better, the least impressive gose I've had in a long while.
