Boxed 500ml bottle # 073473 into a Batemans pint sleeve on 21st July 2026. This beer is to celebrate 'Bertie' and his life. We had to have him (our 13 year old Border Collie) put to sleep earlier today, so it's a sad house at the moment. The pour is dark amber and with a slight haze, off white crown sat on top. Malty, caramel nose and taste, boozy too. Takes a while before any hop action bursts through the malty molasses to give a bit of twiggy/earthy bite (Bertie loved twigs/sticks). Maybe a little too sweet for it's own good, but I really enjoyed it, Bertie would have as well.

Bottle at home because I have to clear out the beet cellar. Good pour and a beautiful colour in the glass. Loads of rich and matured malts that are well balanced against the alcohol. An excellent beer.

25/1/2025. Bottle at the ITFC vintage and rare Saturday share part 1. From Fuller’s online store courtesy of ITFCDan. Bottle #036459. Pours clear amber copper with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is citrusy, orange, marmalade, caramel, bready, spiced. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Much lighter than the 2019 and 2024 editions we had this evening, the contrast was enjoyable.

50cl @ Ratebeer Odense, Rosenørnsvej, early Winter, 2024. Pours amber red with a fluffy head. Doughy malty. Citrus, marmelade. Bone dry. Caramel, crystal malty. Sipper. Sophisticated though old School and conservative.
