Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Monday 14th August 2023 after another day where more boxes were unpacked, record units were rebuilt, and the ride on mower used for the first time, listening to Feist - Metals and had Mushroom Risotto for tea. This beer pours black and there is a hint of the cherry brandy barrel ageing on the nose. Wow this is so sweet, to the point where you can barely think about anything else. Thick mouthfeel, some chocolate and kirsch but for me this is cloyingly sweet and I cannot finish it, in fact I may make use of the remainder in a dessert only a 3.0 from me. *Update* I decided to return to this beer after leaving more than half of the bottle for two days in the fridge with a covering over the top. Interestingly it was vastly improved, the cherry brandy presented itself more, it didn't seem as cloying, chocolate and cherries showed more in the mouth, it didn't seem so sweet. 3.7 which is quite an improvement.

Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC Day 1) - Dark sweet and roasted malty with lots of chocolate and toffee, cherry and brandy soaked wooden accents into the dark malty finish.

Draught @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC). Sweetish and roasty with too much almondy spicy cherry notes here, reminds me of Dr pepper.

Süßer, holzig-malziger Beginn. Vanille, Brandy, wenig röstig. Die Süße ist mir zu dominant, der Alkohol ist dagegen angenehm und nicht zu stark. Weiter Vanille, Nuancen von Kirsche, langer süß-malziger Abgang. Nett, die Süße ist aber noch zu dominant. Legts euch noch ein paar Jahre in den Keller. 12/9/11/9/14/11
