Yet another 330ml-bottle gift from Finn, thanks! Pours a clear and bright amber body with fair amount of declining, off-white head. Grainy and bready malts to the nose with hints of dried fruits beneath. Bittersweet apples in flavour added by honey, spices and tartness. Noticeable alcohol. Medium bodied. Mid-flat in the mouth. Ok, without lasting impressions (Tromsø, 04.03.2011).

(Draught at Syystober ’10) Poured brown and cloudy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma contained glue, paint thinner and sweetness. Palate was quite full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, glue, sweetness, paint thinner and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was just glue. Yet another recipe developed at Bruuveri and messed up completely by Saimaa.

Totally different than Bruuveri’s versions. Clear amber color, small beige head. Caramel, some alcohol, yeast in overall lame nose. Flavor has caramel and alcohol. Not very lively. An average Leffe copy, Valamo needs better abbey beer!
