(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, fully golden with a small, white head. Malty nose with some alcohol. Surprisingly the body only appears medium with an extreme sweetness. The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden as long as the beer is cold. I fear it warm... (Why don’t we simply call this "Karjala Stong 8.0%). 290106

A dark yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw, and the flavor is dominated by straw and metal. Not my style - too simple and too much alcohol.

Bottled. Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Bitter bready aroma, also a bit earthy/mouldy hints. Flavour is mainly maltish. Pretty watery, leaves mouth sticky. Hides alcohol well.

Can, now known as Karjala Strong (BB 12/2004)
A bit darkish lager color, decent white head. Fruity and metallic aroma. Sweet, alcoholic mouthfeel. Finish is alcoholic and watery. Clean malt liquer but not much more.
