The first innovation imagined in collaboration with Heineken. Called Champ Libre, this unfiltered blond beer – like all the recipes produced by Gallia – has a 5.8° content. Its brewer, Rémy Morin, wanted to add a taste twist by adding rye to the malted barley for spicy and rustic notes.

first time that I drink a rye beer in France, not so fruity, comparing with the German school. This one is grainy, rye, malt, unbalanced, a bit rough, watery at the final, classical bitterness, some yeast, metalic, so-so 03.05.24, at my hotel room Paris after a nice and stormy walk.

Can from Monoprix, Perigueux, after a day out in the city. Golden with a head. Not feeling its strength, it has a softer lightly carbonated hoppiness with some dryness. Appealing without being outstanding.

Malt and grain aroma. Similar taste, with a hint of hops and a quite watery finish, a bit dry.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light unrefined grainy notes. Taste is also a mix of cereal notes with some unrefined grainy notes with some light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Average golden ale with OK drinkability.

0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi who brought it from France. Thanks. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Light malty aroma, nice herbal hoppy profile, slightly floral, some honey. Malty, sugary, caramely, sweet. Light body, quite smooth. A bit bland. Minimal bitterness. Light malty dry finish.
