Hazys come and hazys go, but none have this much heart. With tropical and fruity aromas, this hazy IPA finishes smooth. Hazy Hearted IPA. Finally.

I first rated this (see below) from the Hearted variety pack, but I gave it a second chance and am finding this to be a pleasant, creamy, sessionable IPA. It’s not a juice bomb or flavor-dense, but it is a solid middle-of-the-road beer, and more than that at its low price point. Some of the same elements described below are present, but I’m not getting anything acrid, sharp, or even bitter out of the new cans. My rating is adjusted accordingly. First try:Appearance much like Two Hearted but hazy (not cloudy)—medium orange with a medium off-white/cream head. Aroma a blend of grapefruit, pineapple, pine, and catty herbal notes. Body crisp with rather assertively bitter resins and notes of lemon, pineapple, passionfruit, pine, and grapefruit. Finish is bitter, resinous, sharp, and a touch acrid. A bit rough and, despite the seemingly varied elements, not very flavorful. Disappointing, and I hope not a herald of things to come for the “Two Hearted brand family” as Bell’s corporatespeak now puts it.
