Pålitelige notater fra Mi2 feb-24: brunsvart med ok skum. Presentert av seremonimester Melberg som det søteste øl som noen gang har blitt servert på Cardinal. Tiltredes! Flytende karamellpudding forsøkt druknet i karamellsaus. Det er like før plombene løsner. 0,44 boks og vi gratulerte Johan med sin rating nr. 2000.

Shared can at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of maple syrup, chocolate, ethanol. Tastes sweet. Medium bodied, alcoholic warmth, sweet finish.

Black, ouly, tiny tan head. Aroma of chocolate cake, maple syrup, vanilla. Very sweet, lots of maple syrup, but quite balanced with hops.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 13%. Pitch black colour, moderate and creamy tan head. Intense aroma of maple syrup, vanilla, caramel and doughnuts. Extremely sweet and cloying flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Drinkable only in small portions - the can should be shared between minimum 4 persons, none of them should have diabetes. Oh Holy Mother of God!

Can. Opaque black brown beer, small tan head. Palate is slightly viscous and mildly dry, feels lightly thanks to good fine minerally carbonation. Sweet dark chocolate malts, big maple, huge, not quite as sweet as raw maple but not too far away. Some pleasing raw booziness in the mid offsets the sweetness a bit but not much. Finishes with the maple getting estery and surprisingly, leaves a slightly bitterish linger. Yeah, if you like some bacon with a whole bottle of maple syrup, this might float your boat. I liked this for short drink but could not even contemplate trying to finish it. A mixed bag.

440ml. can. @home, 04/02/2023 [#5.780 Global - #582 England - #10 Azvex Brewing Company] Pours jet black with a small and frothy tan head. Mostly lacing. Aroma: dark chocolate, burnt sugar, maple syrup and choco doughnut. Taste: toffee chocolate doughnut/cake , liquorice and maple sygup. Soooo sweet. Rich full bodied. Next one please!

Wasn’t expected it to be that sweet, it’s really really sweet! Maybe a little too much for me, still nice tho! Maple syrup, caramel, sugar

10/12/2022. Can shared with ITFCDan. From Hopsters, Ipswich. Pours black with a small frothy light tan coloured head. Aroma of sweet maple syrup, sticky toffee doughnut and milk chocolate. Heavy sweetness, very light bitterness. Medium to full body, sticky mouthfeel, low carbonation. Super sweet finish. Quite delicious.
