Golden with a good white head. Honey and malt aromas. The flavour is sweet with distinct hop notes, perhaps a bit nutty too.

Bottle. Golden/orange color. White head. Perfumed and fruity smell. Sorry to say I didn’t recognize the honey, but it was the last beer this evening, so I guess that’s why. Not much written down about the taste either, other than it was a nice, quite fruity beer with a balanced bitterness to the end. Guess I have to re-rate this one day. (050923)

(On tap) Dark orangey golden with a light, creamy head. Slightly hazy. The Tasmanian honey do add some subtle flavours but not much sweetness. Incredibly balanced. Very nice brew. 110705

Hazy orange colour. Fast disappearing white head leaving a lace on the rim. Aroma is a bit sweet and malty, some hints of honey and alcohol too. Sweet taste with hints of honey and hops. Leaving it with a nice sweet warming aftertaste. This is a nice beer.

Orange-gold beer, with greenish shine, diluted honey colour; head reduced to coloured rim. Very flowery, blossomy nose, with cocos. Nose of "honey pops" or suchlike cereals, or honey covered old-fashioned cookies. Remarkable - perfect balance between bitterish hops and flowery honey. Unfortunately, the combination make the hops seem aged, cheesy, oxydized, too. But quite remarkable taste all the same. Cookie malt. Good balance, but a bit empty MF, as is often the case with honey beers. Seriously good try. Unfortunately prematurely aged.

Bottle. Golden colour, no head. Looks quite boring and flat. Full, peppery, caramelly flavour. Sort of like a nice bock, but not good enough at that price.

(33 cl bottle). Orange colour, slightly hazy, moderate head. Moderate aroma of malts, nuts, honey and flowery hops. Honey is surprisingly subdued in aroma and flavour - this is definitely a beer, not a mead. However, honey adds a moderate sweetness to the flavour of a beer otherwise dominated by plentiful hops. Lagerish mouthfeel, a bit too carbonated for my taste. Bitter-sweet finish, bitter aftertaste. Not 100% well balanced in my book, but still a decent beer.

0.33cl BottleHoneyish, flowery and grassy aroma. Hazy orange amber, lowish carbonation and head. Belgian golden ale roots are evident in the flavor, fruity (apples, kiwis), spicy and a little bit belgian yeast funk (miniscule bandaid), honeyish notes detectable in the background. Exits nicely on grass and pine needles. Complex brew. Unexpectedly full body. Soft mouthfeel. I was sceptical when I saw the price (3.7 euros for 33cl), but all in all it was well worth it.
