This weighty beer is a choose-your-own-adventure experience. Freshly plugged, this beer is a gooey 10% hop gusher to bring your holiday retreat to its knees, but time allows this brew to round and settle into an ever maltier bomb of balance.

Bottle from Jrallen34, thanks! Dark amber color. Wood, tobacco and dried red fruit and citrusfruit in the aroma. Cedarwood, tobacco and dried red fruit in the massively hopped flavor. Massive hops and alcohol in the aftertaste.

Sample from 65 cl. bottle. Hazy, amber colour with a golden tint. Lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits, overripe fruits. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry with fruits and rich caramel malts. Nice BW.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque amber with a yellowish head. Thick and rich aroma of caramel malts and citrusy hops - very American. Rich and solid body, very caramellish but everything is kept wonderfully in balance by the great aroma hops. Some late, warming alcohol. Love it! 081114

Bottle from the third annual hardened liver barleywine fest. From notes. Spicy rye and loads of citrus and tropical fruit. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Gold and Bronze Nose is great…resinous, almost cheesy. Very sweet…loads of caramel and toffee. Almost like an ice cream sandwich without the chocolate. The pine cone rocks and it’s insanely clean, almost mineral like

22 oz. bottle aged a year. Dark amber color light head retention. Really nice sweet nose, raisin, sugar plums, candy sugar. Flavor reflects the aroma. The hop variety you can tell was here and now has been over taken by the sugary malts. Citrus flavor toward the finish with carbonation giving a slightly creamy and smooth finish. The complex malts may only get better with time. I enjoyed this an awful lot.

A dark reddish copper Barley Wine with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with treacle, grassy floral hops, light chalky notes, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with mineral harshness, scotch wood character, floral catty hops, loads of warming alcohol, nice. On tap at brewery
