Süffiger, weich malziger Beginn. Geringe Herbe, milde Röstnoten, schwach. Dann nimmt das Malz etwas zu, die Trockenheit wird deutlich stärker, würzig. Röstig, wenig Schokolade, langer Nachgeschmack. 11/9/11/10/9/10

Can. It's black in the glass, with a creamy tan head. Nice curtains. The aroma is smooth and pleasant, with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, oat and a light grassy, piney touch. It's full bodied and quite velvety, quite dry, with a burnt malt kind of bitterness. Chocolate, roasted malts, coffee notes and some herbal, grassy hints. Oatmeal, brownie and some burnt hints in the finish. A delicious one indeed. 230406

Rocky light brown head on a still black body. Malt, coal dust & roasted aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth rounded & cloying. Malt, roasted, chocolate & slightly burnt tastes with a bitter lightly hopped finish. That's good.

(Keg at Pikkulintu Kontula, 20230201) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had burnt malts, cocoa powder and mildly porridge. Palate was full bodied and soft with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, dark chocolate, cocoa powder and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy and bitter. A delicious and balanced burnt brew.

440ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Deep dark brown body under a creamy, fawn-coloured head, rich lacing. Inviting smell of grainy chocolate malts, nicely roasted. Comprehensive taste character of oatmeal, chocolate, liquorice and biscuit, a backdrop of dried fruit to it. Smoothly roasted mid-sweet tail. Friday eve sipper, like it. (Tromsø 27.01.2023).

Draft at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, creamy caramel. The flavour is liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a chocolate, light coffee, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.
