440ml can from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Dark brown with a slight translucency and a quickly dissipating khaki head. Some gentle chocolate aroma with bourbon, vanilla, stone fruit, ash... a lot to take in. Taste starts sweet and leads to an ashy whiskey sourness, some raisin, chocolate, treacle on the more balanced finished. Light body for the style, carbonation on the low side. Pretty impressive stuff if not among the greatest of imperial stouts.

440ml can. Poured a clear, almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, roasty, light liqourice, coffee, chocolate, light vanilla, warm boozy alcohol, light liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can at Beerheadz and the 22 version. Jet black with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty and bitter, slight vanilla sweetness, hints of bourbon. Full smooth and rich body.
