Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Purveyors of a German tick almost every time you walk in the gaff. Clear pale gold. Thin sturdy white foam. Nose has biscuity malt. Whiff of sour. Some sweet lemon. Taste is light sweet with a good hit of grassy leafy bitterness. Nicely clean and crisp throughout. Snappy bitter finish. Aroma wise it doesn’t leap out the glass but it delivers on everything else you could want from the style. Nice one.

Tap at Trompete Eichstätt. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is sweet malts, bready, mild earthy hops. Taste is nice caramel malts, a dash flowery hops, but more on the sweet side. Quite sparkly carbonation, sweetish finish. Not bad, almost a Festbier in flavour!

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It loud clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, fatty, buttered white bread, rich tea biscuits and sponge cake. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, firm, grassy, straw, lightly toasted grain, doughy white bread, cereal, sponge cake, peppery spice, lightly herbal and floral accents with a. Dry finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Aroma is a bit sweet, but the taste is rather nuanced and quenching. Nice one.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden with a fluffy head. Full grain and hay, some citrus, grassy hops, rye bread. Some grainy malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty finish. A very interesting Helles, very balanced, full bodied, nice!

Bottle from Hop Lords, Worcester. Pours clear golden with a white cap. Aroma: grains, sweet malts, light bread, faint grass. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, malt, grains, light bread, grass, lemon hints. There are better helles out there but this wasn't too bad at all.
