500ml bottle; BB 21st Oct 2020. Drank at home on 30th Aug 2020. Lovely deep amber colour, clean and clear, fast fading beige head. Good depth of flavour and body for a Dunkel, malty and semi-sweet. In a blind tasting I would have said it was an Alt as it wasn't watery or bland like some in this style often are.

Bottle. dark brown color. Maltaroma with caramel, and chocolate. Full bodied. malty bready flavor with caramel and milk chocolate. Sweetish, pleasant. Just enough hops. Nice one!

€-Flascherl: Clear, deep amber coloured, small and rather quickly collapsing off-white head; clean sweetish caramelly-fruity nose with faint toasty traces; moderate sweet flavour, low bitterness, hardly medium-bodied, but a bit sticky, still soft; slightly lingering - almost a bit watery - and slightly drier sweetish-caramelly finish. Not really bad, but one is enough...

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a beige and loose mid-sized foamy head. Mildly roasted malty aroma with hints of caramel, chocolate, bread crusts and ashy notes. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly ashy and roasted malty taste with notes of chocolate, caramel; sweet malty and slightly hop bitter finish. Likeable. 02.V.18

Clear dark brown with no real head. Aroma is lots of nuts with some phenols and a little chocolate. Taste is more alcoholic, sour by carbonation. Not smooth, sour finish, alcoholic. Didn’t like it so much.

bottle, kindly sent by kappldav123. Brown colour, beige head. Malty but not sweet, slightly woody with some nice grassy hops. Shy hints of chocolate and caramel. Good.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts milder than exspected, fine malty, modest roasty-dry. Some woody hints. Fruity like plum. Finish mild, but not washy. Quite drinkable. A good one!
