Bottled (thanks Timo A.). Very deep brown, close to black, colour with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, nuts, some smoked wood and also mild liquorice and some alcohol. Flavour is smoked wood, some grains, ashes and liquorice, leather and some mild alcoholic sweetness as well. Pleasant brew.

Bottle @ Scheffel. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose and taste is roasted malts. Coffee and chocolate with vague ashy and smokey notes. Soft and full palate. Dry roasted end. Very nice and well made.

Draught at Københavns Øldage 2009, Valby. Pours a black color with a tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with some hints of licorice. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty dark chocolate finish.

Pitch black colour with creamy beige head.Aroma of licorice and rosted malt,nice full body and flavor of dark bitter chocolate.Well balanced and good porter.

Black with a lasting tan head. Intense aroma of chocolate with hints of licorice and smoke. Sweet and full-bodied dark chocolate flavour with a nice and bitter finish. A real pleasure

Draught @ Ølfestival Valby - CBF09, Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hard roasted, light coffee, cresylic acidic. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. On tap. Black and opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Distinct aroma of hard roasted malt and some coffee. Medium body, hard roasted malt, some vanilla and distinct coffee accents. Dry and lightly hoppy finish. 160509

CBF09. From tap. Pours hazy dark brown with an orange head. Spiced and slight roasted notes of smoke and coffee. Dry and yeasty aroma. Roasted and spiced intial flavoured, note of smoke. Dry malty and light liqourice spiced. Dry hoppy and smoked malt finish.

Sample at CPH beerfestival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich licorice, smoke, wood and roast malt.

Draught at KØ09. Good roasted aroma, hint of smoke. Black colour, seems a bit hazy. The flavour has some smoke, quite nice, but a bit rough.
