Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, no head to speak about. Aroma is dried fruits, wooden, sugary and some slight bananas and chocolate to it. Flavour is spicy, some nice sugary and wooden tones with some herbs and mild Fernet Brancaish elements (I hate fernet, but here there elements kind of come nicely).

Bottle @ Ratebeer Odense, January twenty four. Pours Dark Brown with a small head. Orange liquor , countreau, orange stænger fra Toms amd Wood. Deep barrel. Warming alcohol. Lovely sipper.

Ratebeer Odense First tasting of the year 2024. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, lots of spices and orange peel. Sweet malty flavour with roasted notes, chocolate, toffee and spice.

A: hazy dark brown, thinning, tan head.
A: dried orange peel, cherry, herbs, pear, gravy, bourbon, cherry tomato.
T: sweet pear, raisin & cherry; toffee, herbs, savoury, almost meaty notes.
F: herbal hops, dried fruit, spices, orange peel and warming bourbon alcohol.
P: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Complex BW with lovely added touches.

Bottled. Probably got his from a Mikkeller or To Øl beer club box Poured dark brown in color. Heavy malty with figs and orange peel. Orange bitter indeed. Pleasant bourbon notes. Fairly complex. Round mouthfeel. First sip was nice, but bit sharp and boozy aggressive as it warms up even more.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! --Aroma of marzipan, caramel and chery brandy. Very sweet with full body and dense, sticky mouthfeel. Syrup an caramel, lots of bitter orange, notes of licorice. Warming finish with orange peel bitterness. Interesting, but more of a concept beer than a complex barley wine.

Black with a minimal head. Aroma of cherry and wooden barrels with some sense of dried fruit. Sweet with a warm wooden barrels and cherry end. Full bodied. Bought in Copenhagen with wife aug 2022. Nice night cap.
