Bottle. A- Cocoa, roasty, mild vanilla. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal brown head. T- Cocoa, roast. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Minimal flavor considering all the adjuncts. Might be due to age of 3 years but absolutely not worth the price tag. Decent but easy pass for me.

Bottle split with James at Off The Square, Stow On The Wold, 23/11/24. Shit rated by the predictable few ... they (the brewery) thank you for your money mind, but I did just speak to Martin Lewis and he says you could just not bother ticking stuff you know you won't like ... who knew that was an option? That's an idea but of course ... it's all about numbers, numbers, numbers! Jesus still loves you though ... maybe? Black topped with a tan swirl. Nose is chocolate, almonds, toffee fudge, nutty, brown sugar melt, honeycomb. Taste comprises chocolate pot, sugars, molasses, Crunchie bar, caramel, light roasted elements. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow rising boost. Solid comforting impy that holds the bitter sweet balance well.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is chocolaty, some syrup, mild liquorice, toffee and almonds. Flavour is chocolaty, some sweet alcohol, toffee and mild almond with some slight syrupy sweetness too. Dessert beer.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Viscous black, small beige head. Aroma of vanilla and cake mix. Ludicrously sweet with extremely syrupy mouthfeel. Cloying vanilla, caramel and syrup. Feels like drinking syrup with cake mix poured into it. Simplistic, like an experiment by kids with too rich parents that gives them expensive ingredients.

Bottle from Paul, thanks for the opportunity! Inky black with a decent sized tan head that persists. Rich roasty chocolate with bits of vanilla and hints of marshmallow. Decent stout but the nuts and cake are a lie.
