Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a short, white head. Lovely aroma mostly of clean pilsner malts. Medium body, sweet, bready malts with a subdued bitterness. Clean and unspectacular. 090825

Müllerbräu Pfaffenhofen Hell, Flasche vom Biermeister, Berlin-Schöneberg. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase süßlich-getreidiges helles Malz und nur sehr dezente zitronig-heuige Hopfung, etwas billig. - Antrunk mild getreidig-hellmalzig mit etwas zu deutlicher Süße. Blasse zitronige Hopfung. Durchschnittlich rezent. Im Abgang nur leichte, schwach muffige Bittere. - Allzu simples Helles ohne die malzige Tiefe und die runde Hopfung, welche die besseren Vertreter dieser Biersorte auszeichnen. (1.7.2023.)

From bottle. Grainy, bready, hay and straw, light citrus. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, mild dry bitter bready grainy finish. Decent Helles overall.

500ml bottle as Hell (no mention of Altbayrisch); only 4.9% ABV too. Drank at home on 20th May 2020, during the virus Lock In. Not overly impressed, looked OK, bright, clean and clear but it held very little aroma or taste. Good job I was thirsty.

Bottle picked up from Bernhard Nieder, Attenkirchen and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 23rd January 2020 whilst cooking a homemade Broccoli, Leek and Gorgonzola Pie and listening to Steve Lamaqs Round Table on 6Music (about to start shortly). Pours clear sparkling gold with a white head, exceptional clarity, looks wonderful. Soft carbonation, light cereal, a little metallic finish, dry, quite like this.
