We have thrown in bucket loads of one of our favourite hops Citra, Which is quite a newly developed hop variety only a few years old. The classic weizen typically develops mild sweet banana tones, with the addition of our Citra-hop we have added fresh citrus notes such as grapefruit, lime, tangerine, lemon and if you have an open mind you may also find papayas, pineapples, mangoes, lychees and passion fruit.
It’s kind of a firework display from the supermarket’s fruit section - go with it. We think it’s one of the most refreshing we’ve made.

(Bottle) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, lemon peel, grass, banana and hints of wheat. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of lemon peel, grass, bready malt and lots of fresh, citric hops in a dry finish. Medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing, with more Citra than Weiss. Nice one.

Bottle from Salling - rating # 6000. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are dominated by citra hops, but also some yeast, fruits and malt.

Bottle. Not your typical hefeweizen, where is the banana? Citrus hops en masse. The bitterness is peppery in an almost saison-like way.

Cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and moderate hoppy - grapefruit and peach. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Very dry and bitter finish. Has very little to do with a German Hefeweizen. This fusion of styles did not work for me. 130511

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a huge firm white head. Parfum aroma of banana, apples and hops. Nice fruity APA taste but finishes unfortunately in a strange bitterness.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, rich head. Aroma of citrus and banana. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Tastes like a fruit salad, including grapefruit. Some xpicy bitterness. Pretty good, but I would still prefer a well made traditional weizen to it.

500ml Bottle (Thanks Svesse) - Hazy golden with a foamy head. Lemon, banana and soap in the aroma. Soapy and spicy taste with notes of banana, yeast and lemon meringue pie.

Bottle. Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Powerfull grape notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong citrus especially grape notes. Moderate btter average finish. Oily palate. Nice.

50 cl bottle, thanks to ekstedt!BB 02.2012, sampled on April 1, 2011Batch 337Murky light yellow color, white head. Citrus, sweet, yeast scent. Sweet, yeast, harsh bitter taste. Sugary and banana aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
