Cask from Wellington, Brum. Clear gold, small white top. Nicely citric with softer tropical notes, toasted malts, semi drying and quite bitter. Smooth near medium bodied. Good.

Cask at GBBF'23, day one, 01/08/23. Clear golden blonde with a white cap that veers edgewards. Nose is grass, herb, straw, dull fruits. Taste comprises light bready tones, melon, lemon rind, straw, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close leading to a crisp light bitter finish. Not bad.

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, clear as a bell once it settles, with a full and foamy off-white head. Lovely little aroma with some stone fruit and lychee, lemon curd, toffee. It isn't quite as exciting in the mouth, with a harsh astringency hiding behind the initial sweetness. Slight body with soft carbonation. Better than I'd thought it would be.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford – as Woodcote SPA (4.2%). Pours chrome yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Floral hops and some hints of oranges in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a light watery texture. Flavour is summer fruits and bread crusts with traces of malts. Eventually some hops start to show, and the finish is slightly bbitter. There’s not much body to this one, but what there is is decent. Definitely swiggable !
