44 cl can. Pours hazy dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma is breadish snd roasted dark malty finish. Breadish. Toasted, bitter and light caramelish. Dry malty far finish.

440ml can at Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky medium brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy, off-white head. The aroma is boozy toffee caramel. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a rich, smooth, roasty liquorice, burnt treacle, earthy, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A nice end to the evening.

--Keg at Brewdog Kungsholmen, Stockholm. -- Black, small head. Somewhat tart aroma of treacle and licorice. Mid sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Tart black malt, syrup and licorice. Mid bitter finish. Sharp and really basic for a doppelbock.

Brown with a frothy, light beige head. Aroma is toffee, toasted grains, and a bit herbal. Taste has a hoppy bitterness over a sweet, rich malty base full of brown sugar. Touch of prunes. Finishes with lingering caramel. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation. A good one.

(Keg at Juova, 20230929) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, molasses, grass and treacle. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, molasses, malts, toasted notes and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty malty brew.
