Dark brown with a tall, sudsy, off-white head. Aroma is foremost chocolate with the hoppy undertones promising black currant and plum jam. Taste is bitter with roasted tones. Finishes the same, accompanied by resin and more chocolate. Medium-bodied, mostly mild carbonation. Easygoing. Good stuff.

Can. Dark brown/black with a decent beige head. Aroma of oranges, lemons, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Taste of roasted malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, oranges, lemons, zest and coffee. Moderate to strong bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. A nice and enjoyable beer that’s surprisingly fruity though and ultimately not what I want from a Porter. It definitely leans more into Black IPA territory but as I haven’t had such a beer in a long time I was quite happy with that.

0,44 l can from their supersale. BB 01.12.2023. Nearly black in the glass with a two finger pale beige head. Looks good. Intensive licorice and fresh bitter hop on the nose. Malt in the second row. Taste is more on the malty side, less but present licorice, bitter hop, roasty malt, some orange and citrus in the background. Also a little bit choco. Low carbonated. Could be a black IPA. Nice one.

440ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of cocoa, some dark chocolate, orange peel, orange flavoured chocolate, a touch of coffee grounds. Taste is roasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty, slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, some roasty and zesty bitterness, diluted hints of cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee ground, a touch of orange, tangerine, orange zest; minimally ashy finish with a touch of burnt caramel. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Slight BIPA character, almost minimally overcarbonated - OK beer, not exactly a Porter to me.

Hopfiger, weich röstiger Beginn. Leicht trockener Hintergrund, mit der Zeit kommen schokoladige Noten hinzu, minimale Süße. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt erstaunlich stark, das Bier dadurch süffig. Langer hopfig-herb röstiger Abgang. 11/12/12/12/11/12

Draft at Murphys. Very dark brown. Quite roasty, soft lime zest, earthy, weedy hops. Under medium sweet and bitter. Just medium bodied. Almost a black IPA, wuite nice.
