Bottled(500ml). -Muddy brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, wheaty banana nose. Malty, yeasty and very fruity taste with notes of cloves and vanilla. Touch of spices in the finish. Typical and very good German Dunkelweizen.

Bottle. Toffee malt, banana and clove aroma - very nice. Cloudy orange brown color with nice big head. Musty wheat malt flavor with light ripe banana and grassy hops finish. Flavor blander than the aroma would have had me believe.

Bottle. Light unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, wheat, moderate yeasty, banana. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (150208)

(bottle, brewed by Tucher) Hazy, amber colour with a huge, light-beige foamy head. Yeasty, sweet and slightly toasted malty and wheaty aroma with light notes of caramel, rather shy fruity notes and strong phenols (cobwebs, cloves). Light-bitter, minimal-acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Toasty malty, moderately wheaty taste with caramel and rather restrained fruity notes and yeast; bitter, minimal-fruity finish with not too disturbing phenolic notes.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy nut brown, creamy head. Aroma of ripe bananas. Medium sweet, spritzy and lively with banana cake flavour. Low bitterness. Solid weizen following the main track.

Wow... crazy lively carbonation. Amber red & unclear with large thick white head. Malty, bready caramel nose. Fruity taste - light sweet. Wheat notes all over. Medium body. Good lacings. Drinkable dunkel weizen!

Das Weizen startet mit einem Aroma, das ich mit überreifen Bananen verbinde. Dadurch denkt man unwillkürlich, das Bier stünde schon länger herum, was natürlich Quatsch ist. Dennoch geht mir der Gedanke im zunehmend malzigen Mittelteil nicht aus dem Kopf. Die doch zunehmend komisch erscheinende Fruchtigkeit weicht hier nicht, auch im etwas überladen wirkenden Nachgeschmack nicht, allerdings wird der Ton hier heller, das Bier wirkt frischer. Eine sehr eigene Auslegung eines dunklen Weizens! Test vom 9.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,8,9,9,12,9 - 9,20

500ml bottle bought at the Kloster-Getränkemarkt in Scheyern and enjoyed at a hotel room. Cloudy, light dark body under a creamy, white foamy head. Aroma of banana ripeness. The taste is a blent of clove, wheat and yeast overlaid by caramel sweetness. Moderate palate (Ingertsheim 20.06.2007).

Bottle: Hazy, chestnut coloured, bigger, stable off-white head; sourish malty and fruity nose; papery, soapy sweetish-malty taste, light bodied; finishes fruity-wheaty and papery. Ugh, a real drain-pour.......

This is really an "Ur"-Weizen, meaning amber. Draught Hazy orange beer with amberish-green shine; fine white head leaving lace. Strawberry nose, yeast esters, and slightly spicey, if not specific cloves. Again this strawberry flavour, retronasal typically "goose", or like bamboo shoots. Warming up, it gets Brett-like, with a bit of sulphur. Medium bodied at best, wheat slickness. An untypical but not unnice Weizen. Bit it is a bit weird.
