Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it’s hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. Can. Pours hazy golden, large fluffy white head, good lacing. Aroma is pine, grass, oranges. Smells a lot like an old west coast IPA, which isnt surprising considering the March 2019 brewed on date on the bottom of the can. I am sure its past its prime, but it is for sale; and that is on MBC for not policing their clients better. Medium body.

Fairly clear golden coloured body with a larger, two centimetre tall head with a nice glowing tan body that shows some depth and punch. Light hoppy aroma with more emphasis on the malts, alcohol and yeast - not too strong, but showing some flavours for sure. Medium-bodied; Nice assertive grainy flavours with a lot of alcohol and more subdued hops with some grassy and herbal notes, but no tropical fruits, resin or pine flavours at all - a relatively good balance, but a bit thin, especially for the style and not showing too many hops, compared to all the malts. Aftertaste is more grainy and bitter from the malt and alcohol than anything else - the hops hit relatively softly with a deft cover of grain near the end. Overall, a fairly good beer that shows much less of an Imperial IPA than anything else - but some softer malts, a good mild bitterness from some fruits with little else. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Food Pantry [express] on Kuhio in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$10,88/six pack sampled the a few minutes after arriving to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 26-December-2018.

Sampled from the tap at World Of Beer St. Paul. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bitter pine and citrus rind with a hint of juicy citrus and sweet grains backing. Flavor has citrus and a decent amount of resin with a grain backbone.
