Das naturtrübe Vollbier überzeugt durch seinen fruchtig-herben Geschmack.
Die Hefe, die in diesem Zwickelbier so richtig aufgeht, verleiht der Spezialität ihren unverwechselbar ursprünglichen Charakter. Süßlich im Antrunk, herb im Nachtrunk – das ist vollendete Freiburger Braukunst.
Nach uraltem Originalrezept von unserem Gründer Louis Ganter gebraut – mit klarem Schwarzwaldwasser und regionalen Rohstoffen. Anschließend reift das Bier in kleinen, exklusiven Mengen im Lagerkeller heran – bis es bereit ist, getrunken zu werden. Zum Wohl!

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Schwörer' (Endingen), best before March 2026. Slightly hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a bit fruity-floral aroma of grains, straw and hints of lemon peel. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, malty, a bit fruity-floral taste of grains, straw, some honey and traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant brew, fairly quaffable. Much better than the filtered Pils.

For the style, it is a nice beer, it sounds a bit like an achel blonde, malty and there is a really pleasant touch of honey at the final, 12.04.17, purchased this beer, during one of my trip, in Freiburg am Breisgau, tasting it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

Tap @ Ganter Brauereiausschank, Freiburg. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, grainy and moderate hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 110725

Swing top bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy golden with tons of floating impurities and a small and lacing, white head. Very discreet flowery hops in the nose. Medium body, rather sweet malts and a decent finishing hoppiness. Straight and good, but it looks real shitty. 050125

Bottle with swingtop 0,33 ltr: Cloudy golden coloured brew with an pretty dry bitter taste with hints of citrus and floral aroma.

On tap at Ganter Brauereiausschank Freiburg. Cloudy yellow coloured, medium sized white head, few streams of carbonation, light yeasty nose. Yeasty, mild fruity and grassy with bitterish finish. Easy-drinkable.

Ganter Urtrunk, Fläschchen, von Thomas aus Freiburg mitgebracht. - Goldgelb, leicht trüb. - In der Nase weiches, leicht getreidiges helles Malz, ein Hauch von Sommergerste, milde zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk frisch und sauber hellmalzig mit feiner Hefe und solider wenngleich milder zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung, ein wenig trockene Zitronenschale, etwas Gras. Ganz zarte Restsüße. Milder rezent, vollmundig, schön mineralisch. Im Abgang milde aber gediegene zitrusfruchtige Herbe. Feinbitterer Nachtrunk. - Eleganter gehopft als die Bezeichnung Urtrunk erwarten läßt - ein schönes Kellerbier! (10.1.2023.)
