Bottled. A cloudy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of herbs and lemon, leading to a lightly dry finish.

Bottle (bought at the brasserie): Deep golden, maybe a bit copper coloured, clear, quite stable lacy white head, clean sweet-malty, a bit toasted nose with shy hoppy influences and a touch of caramel; moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied, smooth; mild dark-malty finish with some hops showing up in the aftertaste. Decent and pleasant Dunkel..............

(bottle) Clear, deep golden coloured (and not very copper coloured as the name of the beer claims) with a big but non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly toasted malty nose with a nutty touch, whiffs of caramel and shy notes of hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and quite pleasant carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly nutty taste with caramel; moderately dry, toasty finish with a burnt and slightly hoppy bitterness. A Dunkel without being really dark/dunkel (coloured); one of the rare goddies from Meusel.
