Aroma is somewhat sweet with caramel malt and toffee. Flavour is sweet with nuts, caramel, some toffee and malt. Surprisingly rich and good for a Teerenpeli beer.

750ml flip-top bottle. Thanks to Finn. Deep, ruby-dark coloured body, declining fawn-coloured head. Moderate roasted malty aroma with suggestions of herbs and mild spices. Taste of roasted, semi-sweet malts with hints of caramel and chocolate, mild hints of star anise, as well. Bittering malts to the ending. Fits the winter season quite well (Tromsø, 18.12.2011).

Flaske 0,75l fra Kilpishalli. Skibotn 8 Okt 11. Dyp rødbrun. Veldig lavt skum som blir nesten helt borte. Svakt røstet aroma. Smaken er røstet malt. Litt syrlig bitterhet etter hvert. Fin etikettdesign - ser ut til å være ment som et vinterøl. Bra matøl.

75cl bottle. Poured dark brown with a light brown head, quickly disappeared. Aroma is roasted malt and milk chocolate. Flavour is similar, milk chocolate, roasted malt with a sweetness to it. Drinkable, decent brew.

Draught (Teerenpeli, Helsinki) - Dark brown with a small head. Chocolatey aroma, reminiscent of a cup of warm hot chocolate. Rich and chocolatey taste with chocolate cake and a fair amount of sweetness. Drinkable, but it gets a bit sickly after a while.

(Draught at the brewpub, Lahti, on 2008-10-25) Dark brown. Medium sized quickly disappearing white head. Light malty nose. Quite full bodied and still watery palate with lots of carbonation. Roastedness, some chocolate and bitterness in taste. Chcolate and bitterness in aftertaste.

Draught. Very dark ruby red colour with mediumsized beige creamyish foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts with some mild notes of licorace and caramel. Flavour is sweet red berries along with plum, raisins and some mild spicyness.

Dark ruby color, creamy mocha head. Nicely toasted nose with some sweetness and licorice. Crisp carbonation, served too cold also. Very clean palate (opposite what Seppo wrote) - in the meaning that this is not "craft beer -like", not "microbrewish". Light toasted breadyness and some caramel flavors which are quickly fading away. Some hops in the aftertaste. This is not bad but brewed too much "for the masses". Typical middle-on-the-road Teerenpeli-stuff.
