Klasický jihočeský ležák, které uspokojí i náročné konzumenty, a to nejen u nás, ale i v řadě dalších zemí, kam ho vyvážíme.
Tajemství výjimečné chuti spočívá hlavně v kvalitních surovinách. Žatecký poloraný červeňák mu dává příjemnou střední hořkost a český slad ji optimálně vyvažuje nasládlostí a kvasnicovým akcentem.
Vyznačuje se příjemnou zlatavou barvou, vyšší střední plností, středním řízem a bohatou pěnou.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with at first a nice head. This fades over 5 minutes and the bubbles are very gentle. The nose is dominated by breakfast cereal and this is not a lager which has much citrus fruit on it. On the palate it’s more big pale malt tastes but it cleans beautifully with a hint of citrus. The palate is medium bodied with a reasonable texture and a nice clean finish. Overall, a good example of a Czech lager.

500 ml bottle, ABV is 5.0%. Will probably be imported to Norway. Golden colour, big to moderate white head. Aroma of "dusty" pilsener malts and floral hops with honeyish notes, a hint of caramel too. The flavour has a decent balance between sweetish malts, honeyish notes and bitter hops in the finish. An okay pils.

Clear golden with a medium off white head. Malty aroma with grassy hops and caramel hints. Flavour had grassy hops, malt and piney notes. Finished dry and bitter. Clean with a high drinkability. Nice one.

Bottle from just outside the brewery in Trebon. A deep golden color moving towards brown. Decent head, but not too full. Fruity aroma, and you can sense the hops. There is almost a dry bubblegum aroma under there as well, or maybe melon. It’s a unique aroma and I can’t put my finger right on it. Medium malt flavor, with a lot of fruit, some grass and just a touch of sweetness. Very good hops that more than balance it well, but do not overpower. Medium body, but a bit fuller than the usual for this type. Lingering sweetness mixed with strong hop bitterness and again a touch of fruit and grassiness in the finish. This is a very interesting beer. If anything, it could use a touch more malt, but it is very good indeed.

(Bottle 0,5l) (11/20/2009) Malty and a bit weird aroma. Clear golden color. Minimal white head. Unpleasant fizzy. Light bitter-sweet. Light bitter end. A bit disappointment, I remember it was better beer. (Maybe really bad batch... I will try it later, hope it will be better.) (3.2.5.3..9=2.2)
(Bottle 0,5l) (05/06/2013) Light musty aroma. Clear golden color. Quickly done white head. Light sweet, light bitter. Dry, bitter finish. Significantly better, but still nothing special. (5.2.5.3..11=2.6)

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog (thanks!)
Dark golden coloured, almost no head, grainy honey nose. Malty, grainy, caramel/honey and some hops with notes of coffee in the finish. Infected bottle??? Probably.

The (promised) rerate. This one’s heavy’s! Poured a golden body, small thiick white heead. Strange, bit herbal grainy nose. Random light grainy taste, vaguely fruity. A pale lager, that’s it..5-6/2-3/5/2-3/11br>Original reviewBottle purchased at some potraviny in Telč, shared with ogivlado. Poured a dark ochre/golden colour with no head. Light grainy nose, some honey too. Grainy honeyish taste, not too great, a bit hoppy near the end, bit stale and might be off, not being too special to begin with.... hmmm.... now I read sirPino’s rate and I wonder if the brewery decided to market a stunningly bad batch. I thought it might’ve gone bad at the store but this two bottles showing similar bad effect purchased at different places at roughly the same time.... probably didn’t. Will rerate it (gave it slightly higher notes while rating it in my book so it’s slightly overrated here) once but still shame on the brewery for putting such an obviously bad batch into circulation.5/2/4/2/10

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The New Oxford, Manchester. Tap. thought I had tried it before, but glad i took some sips since I hadn’t ! Malty with grassy hops. Quite light for a pilsner but refreshing and enjoyable nevertheless .
