A Bourbon Barrel aged Imperial Stout made with freshly roasted Emy J's Coffee. This beer is as complex as it gets. Flavors of vanilla, tannins, and coffee meld together to create a flavor as deep as the ravines of the Peruvian Andes!

Thank you oh so much, Jessica!
Reviewed from notes
Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a quarter finger of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet milk chocolate and dark chocolate whiffs, some caramel/toffee notes; light vanilla, barrel notes, sweet and roasty coffee tones with some sweet earthiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and roasty coffee to chocolatey and earthy quality; finishes semi-sweet with some dark chocolate bitterness and vanilla
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper; very smooth along the tongue with barely any barrel spice nipping at the tongue as I thought that would have happened but wow, it's just so subtle
Overall: well, daggum! Such a wonderful beer, I can't believe I was able to try this one!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is beany coffee with roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, light fruity notes, toffee, touch of dark chocolate and booze. More coffee and bourbon. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Medium to full body. High coffee and bourbon aroma, body could be a bit more full. Solid.

Ruikt goed naar whisky/bourbon. Smaakt zacht, bourbon, vanille, beetje boozy, druivenschilletjes, eikenhout, een beetje rode wijn achtig, klein beetje rood fruit. Geniaal complex. Meer quadrupel of old ale dan imperial stout imo.

Really not sure whatโ€™s up with these 17/18 bottles but Iโ€™ve had 3 different ones & do not love em. Cheap bourbon vibes, weird finish every time. The clerk said these bottles were cellared by CW but I think they were cellared in the clerkโ€™s front garden.
