This full, complex beer is an homage to one of Mike’s best known beers. At 7% ABV it’s an extremely smooth beer without cloying sweetness, but with all the roasted/chocolate/coffee flavours you’re looking for in your dark beers. Take a Dark Orbit in our space ship to Planet Delicious.

Hops: Hallertau Blanc, Saaz, Cascade

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Slightly tangy dark malts, somewhat thin. A little earthy coffee. Trace of dark chocolate. Light finish. Okay but fairly standard stuff.

Opaque deep brown to black. Dense tan head. Nose: balanced mix of dark malts, coffee, chocolate, light smoke, vinous notes. Medium body. Taste: quite dry, echoes the aroma with addition of citrusy hops. Light plus bitterness. Long ending with roast and hops. Really good

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Etre. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Great stuff, well rounded, notes of brown bread, chocolate cake, moderate roast, bitter coffee. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some ashy roast, more baking cocoa, rich coffee, scorched earth. Excellent.
