Sampled from can at Tim's place, huge thanks! Opaque black color, no head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, liquorice. Flavor is malts, malt bitters, roast, coffee in the background, rye, wholegrain bread. Quite good.

440ml can @ Tim's place, Gent. Pours black, unclear, deep tan head. Aroma of coffee roast, layered dark malt, umami. Flavour profile brings a big bitter roast presence, bitter dark chocolate, a touch earthy, medium bodied. Ok.

23 December 2023. Christmas Tasting - Cheers to Anke, Pieter, Caro & Tom! Can from Mr. Hop.
A: cloudy black, stable, dark beige head.
A: fondant, liquorice, cappuccino, black pepper, vanilla, vague banana.
T: sweet date & banana, chocolate sauce, bitter coffee, vanilla.
F: (black-) peppery hops, liquorice, fondant, warming brandy-like alcohol.
P: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Moersleutel is the king of sweet Stouts, but at least this one has a more essential roast profile and there's no lactose (at least not recognisably). Very good!

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met mooie bruine schuimkraag. Smaak is vrij bitter een zoet zuur met iets van chocolade, koffie, wat sinaasappel en wat rook.

Can, many thanks Sander! Black color with beige head. Aroma is big roast, black chocolate, mild soy sauce, tobacco, rich and intense. Aroma is chocolate, big roast again, earthy, dash of umami, quite a bitter finish. Velvety mouthfeel, fine-bubbled carbonation. Solid old school Imperial Stout!

Can from Drankgigant and consumed at home in the company of Craig and Stella Saturday 14th October 2023 listening to DJ Paulette on 6Music. Pours black with a thin rim of beige, in the mouth deep rich chocolate, it's a roasty stout, this lingers somewhat, quality chocolate. Thickness in the mouth, smooth, some lingering bitterness. Is there a little lactose in here? Mouthfeel suggests so but not quite in the flavour. Good, simple but a very big hitter.
